Install VeraCrypt on Ubuntu 18 / Linux Mint 19

VeraCrypt is an open-source utility used for on-the-fly encryption. It can create a virtual encrypted disk within a file or encrypt a partition or the entire storage device with pre-boot authentication.

You can install it easily on Ubuntu using unit193's PPA & here is how.

1) Open up your terminal and add unit193 PPA to your system running following commands.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:unit193/encryption
2) Then run following commands to install VeraCrypt. sudo apt-get update && sudo apt install veracrypt
